Kairos Christmas 2026 · Track 2
Come See in the Manger
Luke 2 ☩ John 1 ☩ Romans 3 ☩ Galatians 4 ☩ Philippians 2 ☩ 2 Corinthians 5
Notes from Tom
This song is an invitation. Come see, come hear, come kneel, come trust, come worship.
Christmas can become so familiar that we stop hearing how shocking the story really is. The One who made the heavens comes into his creation in human flesh, wrapped in weakness and held in Mary's arms. And He does it for you. That's the heart of the refrain: "Christ has come for you."
The manger is not merely a beautiful beginning to the Christmas story. Jesus was born for the cross, and it is the first visible step toward our redemption. So the song keeps inviting us closer to see this amazing love of God anew.
Come hear the good news announced to sinners. To YOU.
Lyrics
Verse 1Come see in the manger,
God in the flesh,
The One who made the heavens
Came to take your place.
See Him wrapped in weakness,
Held in Mary's arms,
Christ the Lord has come down
To save us from harm.
RefrainGlory, glory,
Christ has come for you.
Glory, glory,
God has made all things new.
Verse 2Come hear in the darkness,
Angels proclaim,
Peace for guilty sinners
In the Savior's name.
Not because we earned it,
Not by works we've done,
God has sent His mercy
In His only Son.
RefrainGlory, glory,
Christ has come for you.
Glory, glory,
God has made all things new.
Verse 3Come kneel with the shepherds,
Empty and poor,
Nothing in our hands now,
Needing nothing more.
Here is bread from heaven,
Here is living grace,
Here the Father shows us
His forgiving face.
RefrainGlory, glory,
Christ has come for you.
Glory, glory,
God has made all things new.
Verse 4Come trust in the Savior,
Born for the cross,
He will bear our sorrow,
He will find the lost.
From the wood of manger
To the tree of shame,
Jesus wins our pardon,
Blessed be His name.
